Today's Post

I'll start this new blog home with the post I made today at my previous blog. Have fun!

It's only 8:49 am, and I am tired today. I stayed up too late last night. I was ready for bed before midnight, but saw on 2Peas that QVC was having a scrapbook show in the next hour, so I stayed up and watched a bit of that. Nothing earth-shattering, but it's still fun to watch. I found a good while ago that most of what they have to offer is either too much that I'd never use from one kit or too "ready-made" for my style. Every once in a while they have a must-have though. Anyway, I crawled to the bed around 2 or a little after. UGH. So of course the girls were up early today -- 7 am.

My project (above) is slow-going. It's fun, but I didn't totally have in mind how to do each little page, so it was a slow start. I've done the cover, inside cover, and most of the first two envelope pages, so hopefully it'll be easier from here now that my groove is on with it. It's such a fun book, and the site from which I ordered is, of course, out of them now.

My favorite sites right now:
www.amillionlittlethings.com
www.willowtraders.com
www.rustic-artisans.com
www.blackberrybuckets.com

Have I mentioned?
I am attending a wonderful event as a Stampin' Up! vendor come this September 17. A friend is the founder and coordinator of this wonderful event, the Des Moines Area Crop for A Cure, a Susan G. Komen Fundraiser. Check this out:
www.debbie.com/cropforthecure . The goal for this 2nd annual event is $10,000, and I think they'll make it! Who wouldn't enjoy a day of scrapbooking with friends, chances to win door prizes, getting a goodie bag, doing make and takes, and generally having fun?

Ok, off to see what the day brings. Enjoy.
